English Mathematics Science Religious Education Physical Education PSHE Careers Citizenship Enterprise ICT All students must also have the opportunity of continuing to study a modern foreign language.

Engage Enable Empower Thornleigh Salesian College - A Sports College About RE and PE In addition to the Government the governors of a school are expected to have an input as to the nature of the school’s curriculum. Our school is a Catholic school and a Sports College. Both dimensions are not only at the heart of the ethos of our community but are also at the heart of our curriculum. All students follow a GCSE course in Religious Education. All students will follow a Physical Education course for 2 periods / week which will develop the individual’s use of sport as a vehicle to enhance their personal, physical and mental wellbeing.

Engage Enable Empower Thornleigh Salesian College - A Sports College Personalised Learning. We want to provide a curriculum that is suitable for each individual student. This may involve: Being entered early for a GCSE in the Spring term of Year 11 or even Year 10. Being entered for an additional qualification, i.e. GCSE Statistics Being entered for a course that doesn’t have any final examination but is assessed through a portfolio etc.

Engage Enable Empower Thornleigh Salesian College - A Sports College Continuity and Progression. Thornleigh is very lucky in being an College.
