at RMHS IB-MYP IB-Diploma Program Similar to the JWMS inclusive model, beginning in the school year, Richard Montgomery High School is working to implement an inclusive MYP for grades 9 and 10 as well. Students will be eligible to apply to the IB Magnet Diploma Program in Grade 8 if enrolled in Algebra 1 or higher; in level one or higher of French, Chinese, or Spanish; in two or more gifted and talented or advanced courses or upon successful completion of the IB MYP in Grade 10, enrolled in level 3 or higher in a world language and in and Algebra 2 or higher.

Student Service Learning (SSL) Students must earn 75 hours of SSL to graduate from any Public High School in Maryland. Students may start earning SSL hours during the summer following their 5 th grade year. Students may earn 10 hours of SSL for activities infused into the grade 6 science curriculum.
