The Problem Our transportation systems are killing us Air pollution is attributable for 4.3million deaths per year in India

The Problem is acute Air pollution is the 5 th largest killer in India 4000 people die in China every day* Transport contributes 90% of carbon monoxide pollution in India 7.8 million vehicles are produced each year in India * people-a-day-researchers New Delhi is the most polluted city in the world Source: WHO 2014

Our Solution We retrofit old inefficient dirty engines To make them run like this Our Solution

The Solution Bennett Clayton Clean tech engine solutions Low cost retrofit of an existing engine block Multi-fuel capable tailored to available fuel logistics Ultra-high efficiency, Low emissions engine Compact engines for HDVs (bus or truck/tractor) Low profile fuel storage for low floor buses Low maintenance

Market The need for an inexpensive solution to address air pollution from legacy transport systems is global Major concern are Asian cities as they are the most polluted cities in the world 1.Delhi, India 2.Patna, India 3.Gwalior, India 4.Raipur, India 5.Karachi, Pakistan 6.Peshwar, Pakistan 7.Rawalpindi, Pakistan 8.Khoramabad, Iran 9.Ahmedabad, India 10.Lucknow, India Source: World Health Organization

Our Product Works The bus has been in regular service for 2 years with: 30% - Reduction in fuel costs 99% - Reduction in oil consumption Improved performance “Significantly less engine noise, little or no fuel smells, no vibrations, no smoke, virtually maintenance free, savings at the pump” 1 Dramatic environmental improvements by removing fine particulates (PM10) present in diesel fuel exhaust. Fine particulates are recognized as high health risks within built up areas 2 1 Peter Wright - National Bus Company Group Fleet & Purchasing Manager 2 World Health Organisation (IARC) June 2012 report on diesel exhaust as carcinogenic EmissionDecrease Nitrogen Oxides97% Particulate Material89% Hydrocarbon46% Carbon Monoxide26% Bennett Clayton has available for demonstration a MAN SL200 bus, LPG conversion Data outputs

Product Applications Residential: Turn key solution for base load power and to provide power water purification and sanitation requirements Transport: Retrofit of trucks and public transport is proven and is relatively inexpensive. Agricultural: Water pumps and irrigation solutions for regional or isolated communities Commercial: Proven capability of providing base load power to high rise commercial building in North Sydney with negligible air pollution.

Summary Bennett Clayton is one of them Tackling air pollution will require a portfolio of solutions

But is it really cleaner? – the evidence of Bus/truck engine conversation 1 Appendix: Evidence 1 Dept of Environment measurement of MAN SL200 Bennett Clayton conversion EV45A_2P2_F3B_CH10_LPG Full lifecycle Units (per MJ) LS dieselLPGReduction Greenhousekg CO % HC totalg HC % HC urbang HC % NOx totalg NOx % NOx urbang NOx % CO totalg CO % CO urbang CO % PM10 totalmg PM % PM10 urbanmg PM % Energy embodied MJ LHV %

Business as usual A typical supermarket uses 3600 MW hr of power per year*. For 24/7 operation, the average grid price including peak and off peak is $234 MW HR *Ref: Paul Guyer PE RA Guyer Partners 20Requirements.pdf Energy cost to the supermarket per annum $842,400 Bennett Clayton Cogen model A Bennett Clayton Distributed Power Station has an fuel input of 6400 MW HR to generate 3600MW HR of electricity. BC selling electrical energy to a customer at $200 MW HR, and the heat at $50 MW HR Customer savings per annum $262,400 Appendix: Supermarket case study example

Bennett Clayton has a 5-motor power generation system running as part of a trigen system at 76 Berry Street in North Sydney saw a renovation of the 25year old building. Converted to NABERS 6-star without the need to use green power - said to be the lowest emission office buildings in Australia at the time. Reduced emissions by 85% 100% independent of the electricity grid Bennett Clayton technology drives tri-generation system generating electricity, heating and cooling Installation completed while building remained fully tenanted Low noise and vibration – levels well within Australian Standards for night time residential dwellings This has been running for 18 months proving commercial viability. Trigeneration installation Appendix: Base load commercial power

From analysis of BC engine and pumping characteristics and comparison with similar capacity diesel and gas engines in the market, the BC solution offers considerable fuel cost and maintenance benefits to its customers using natural gas at current prices. LNG solutions are competitive under current price conditions. Having this fuel flexibility offers considerable cost savings as markets always move. Case example Pump rate- 8.9 Megalitres per day from 50m Diesel pump (80kw) Fuel cost per day = $628 or $419 with rebate Oil plus maintenance = $40/day Engine on existing bore + pump = $45,000 New motor /rebuild every 5 years $68/megalitre of water pumped BC pump (80kw) LPG Cost per day = $504 Gas cost per day = $250 Oil plus maintenance =$20/day Engine on existing bore + pump = $50,000 New motor /rebuild every 10 years $37-55/megalitre of water pumped BC water pumping demonstration at Deniliquin NSW NB, Costs here are best estimates and may vary depending on local conditions and fuel prices.
