 Taxol is effective in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer because it targets the the mitotic spindle and the drug promotes polymerization and stabilization of tubulins to microtubulins.

 Yes there is!!  Taxotere is another alternative for taxol and is more effective in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer with fewer side effect  Also taxotere is more soluble than taxol.
