Survivor: Earth Our team of scientists has received a message from the future…

What did we learn from this message? How do your actions affect the environment? What are some consequences of these actions?

What should we do? Electricity…Food…Water…Paper… What do they all have in common?

What should we do? Electricity…Food…Water…Paper… What do they all have in common? WATER!!

HELP FROM NASA Global Precipitation Measurement Satellite Launches in 2014

YOUR MISSION: You will explore an undeveloped region of the Earth and collect data about amounts and quality of water present in case we need to utilize this area in the future. Our data from the ground will combine with the satellite data for a complete picture.

YOUR MISSION Visit assigned locations Conduct scientific tests at each location Report your data to the group Determine WHERE the water is!!! Decide if there is ENOUGH good quality water for humans to survive

Where will we look for water? Hydrosphere Geosphere Biosphere Atmosphere

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Principal Investigator (Team Leader) Be sure your group completes all the tests and returns on time! Check that all equipment is returned to the classroom. Points and final summary Navigator – help the group find their way “Sphere” Experts Atmosphere Geosphere Biosphere Hydrosphere
