What is Title I? Title I is a FEDERAL program that provides money to schools based on the # of students that receive free or reduced lunch. AYP – Adequate Yearly Progress Set percentages that each student group has to meet in both reading and math Set percentages that each student group has to meet in both reading and math BES has 6 student groups: White, African American, Hispanic, Limited English Proficient (LEP), Students with Disabilities (SWD) and Economically Disadvantaged Students (EDS). This creates 29 TARGET goals for Bailey Elementary. This creates 29 TARGET goals for Bailey Elementary. We also have to meet a set attendance percentage as one of our AYP goals – so your child’s attendance at school is IMPORTANT.
