Participants Beyond Caring IT Mentor Lavor…ando Percorsi di Integrazione EE-NET Game

Target Groups

Diploma or degree, durable unemployment. - Lavor…ando Percorsi di Integrazione Drug addicts or those who live in hard and difficult conditions. - EE-NET Game Young people aging 16 – 24 belonging to disadvataged areas of the five Apulian provinces.

Critical Points / Risk Factors

- Beyond Caring Low self-esteem, no confidence, low education, redundant skills (carers), loosing benefit money - IT Mentor a) external critical points: prejudices, refusal of employers, not updated knowledge, family, limited environment, reduced social relationships and lack of stimulus. b) internal critical points: low self-esteem, lack of structured time, low motivation, fear and prejudices, false self imaging, slowing down of activities, loneliness and isolation. - Lavor…ando Percorsi di Integrazione Search for the check of the factors that can interfere with the reinsertion such as low self-esteem, relapse into drug- taking. - EE-NET Game Belonging to degradated contexts, negative social environment which do not give our target group the possibility to be stimulated and change their way of living.

Methodology for selection (how and why)

- Beyond Caring How: support group and advertising Why: research shows target group in regional areas. - IT Mentor How: diploma or degree, CV, interviews, tests, IT knowledge. Why: give people over 45 and changed in working capacity people the possibility to get in touch with the new IT. - Lavor…ando Percorsi di Integrazione How: individual interview, counselling, and skills evaluation. Why: the selection is the result of a territorial analysis and of the training route for trainers. - EE-Net Game How: public agencies, municipalities, prefectures, juvenile justice centers, regional school agency plus territorial networks and third sector. Why: our target group is faced with a choice: deviancy or civil society.

How to measure the changes

- Beyond Caring Monitoring using Rickter scale; route planning tools, that is mapping a route from where they are to where they want to be. - IT Mentor Projective tests, emotional intelligence to measure attention and resistance, examination of social relationships, monitoring and evaluation. - Lavor…ando Percorsi di Integrazione Initial, intermediate and final tests. - EE-Net Game Initial, intermediate and final monitoring and evaluation techniques to evaluate the changes and expectations at the beginning and at the end of the project, skills evaluation.

Follow-up

- Beyond Caring Final evaluation, Rickter scale, route planning tools, close contact with mentors. - IT Mentor Periodical thematic groups, questionnaires. - Lavor…ando Percorsi di Integrazione Integration bureau, guidelines for enterprise building. - EE-Net Game No structured follow-up at the end of the project, because our project does not deal with a training course but with a working experiment.

Final Considerations

This teamwork has pointed out the main differences among our countries (Northern Ireland, Hungary, Italy), as for a cultural approach to the problems and the choice of the target group for the Equal project. One of the most important things is to analyse, understand and identify the concepts before working with them. During our discussions we have discovered the different ways of understanding and treating problems such as: school systems in our countries and above all the differences in the use of the term “disabled” and retirement age.

Thank you for your patience!!!
