Observations –NL and Speech processing require collaboration, because of the complexity of the tasks and the crossing of language boundaries –Free floating collaboration is possible, but is often facilitated by infrastructures that help people in teaming up

Every organised action with some continuity aiming at bringing people working in the same field together Different types, different possibilities: –open/closed (only for specific political, thematic or linguistic communities) –top-down/bottom-up –funding/supporting/co-ordinating

Let us: –make (and publish) a structured map of existing infrastructures –investigate whether we can exploit them better (stretching them, linking them up) –analyse whether additional infrastructures would be needed, and if so, how they could be implemented
