What is the RRT? Regional Response Teams were created by the Oil Pollution Act of OPA90 has been implemented by regulations found in title 40 Code of Federal Regulations, parts These are known collectively as the National Oil & Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan, or the National Contingency Plan (NCP) for short. Regional Response Team IX – Arizona, California, Nevada Oil & HAZMAT Preparedness & Response

What does the RRT do? Regional Response Teams prepare regional plans & coordinate preparedness and response actions in conjunction with (local) Area Committees. 40 CFR Area Committees consist of members from federal, state & local agencies. Their responsibilities include preparing Area Contingency Plans (ACP) for their area. Area Committees In California, coastal Area Committees correspond to USCG Captains of the Port in San Francisco, Los Angles & San Diego.
