Schedule

Project Milestone Matrix Week 1 ( Uriel / Herbert ) Week 1 ( Uriel / Herbert )  Research was conducted to see what type of Newspaper Vending Machine are out in the market.  Information was gathered from each member.  Final presentation outline  A budget was created and to see that we don’t over spend.  Local shoopping was done to find what kind of parts and accessories we can use. Week 2 ( Uriel ) Week 2 ( Uriel )  Parts were ordered online.  Hardware design completed  A rough draft of the Newspaper Vending Machine was created.  Parts were received and programming on PLC had began.

Week 3 (Herbert ) Week 3 (Herbert )  A scrap Newspaper Vending Machine was stripped to have a better understanding of how we wanted our Newspaper Vending Machine  Hardware testing completed  Software design completed  More tinkering was conducted to make the frame of our Newspaper Vending Machine  A power supply was finally shipped. Week 4 ( Ryan / Uriel) Week 4 ( Ryan / Uriel)  Major programming was constructed using C++  Software testing completed  Circuit/system assembly completed  Consideration on the PLC was also brought into plan.  Resarch on the Assembly language was more compatiable to work with.  The assemlbly language seem to had better luck with our programming  After several weeks, we concluded that C++ was too difficult to work with.

EET 410L Schedule Week 5 ( Ryan / Herbert / Uriel) Week 5 ( Ryan / Herbert / Uriel)  The C++ program was dropped and work began on the Assembly instead.  Extensive work was applied to the Assembly language.  As our work continued, the driver circuit was not working correctly.  Extensive programming was continued to get it to interface with the keypad.

Week 6 ( Uriel / Ryan / Herbert) Week 6 ( Uriel / Ryan / Herbert)  Ran multiple tests to voltage divider circuit.  Additional programming on the PLC to AC Motor.  Construction on the motor circuit. Week 11 (Herbert ) Week 11 (Herbert )  Create another program for the motor driver circuit.  Project status presentation completed Week 12 (Herbert/ Uriel) Week 12 (Herbert/ Uriel)  PLC to work with the AC motors.  Final written report completed Week 13 (Herbert / Ryan/ Uriel) Week 13 (Herbert / Ryan/ Uriel)  Run basic tests to show at the presentation.
