Mini Bio  Went to Boston to attend the School of the Museum of Fine Arts.  Has been married 4 times.  His first film, Eraserhead, wasn’t met with much critical acclaim but made many people notice him, like Francis Ford Coppola.  Born and raised in a small town in Montana, USA.

The Elephant Man  Biography / Drama  Tells the story of a surgeon that rescues a disfigured man who is mistreated while going through life living as a human side-show freak. However, the surgeon comes to learn that in fact the man is very intelligent.  Starring Anthony Hopkins, John Hurt, Anne Barcroft, and John Gielgud.  Trailer :

Dune  Action / Adventure / Sci-Fi  The son of the duke has to lead warriors against his father’s greatest nemesis, the galactic emperor after they assassinate his father.  Starring Kyle MacLachlan, Virginia Madsen, and Leonardo Cimino.  Trailer :

Blue Velvet  Crime / Mystery / Thriller  Finding a severed human ear leads a young man on a journey into the dark, twisted underworld that is in his own hometown.  Starring Isabella Rossellini, Kyle MacLachlan, Dennis Hopper  Trailer :

Twin Peaks  This show is so monumental that it needs to have some sort of reference. Lynch dedicated 2 years of his life to this show, and further enhanced his cult following status that he had. This show is regarded as one of the best mystery shows of all time, and earned Lynch some nominations for his work on the Pilot episode of the show.

Mulholland Drive  Drama / Mystery / Thriller  After a car wreck on Mulholland Drive makes a woman have amnesia, she and her new found Hollywood friend search for clues and answers around Los Angeles in a journey that transcends time and dreams.  Starring : Naomi Watts, Laura Herring, Justin Theroux  Trailer :

Inland Empire  Drama / Mystery / Thriller  An actress starts to adopt her persona of a character in real life, making her life become surreal and nightmarish.  Starring: Laura Dern, Jeremy Irons, Justin Theroux,  Trailer :

Lumiere and Company  In 1995, 41 directors were challenged to use the original cinematographe that was created by the Lumiere brothers and create a film that was 52 seconds long, with no synchronized sound and no more than 3 takes.  David Lynch’s piece consists of many things that remain within his works; it delves into the supernatural, while dealing with a small town that incorporates eerie elements that make the viewer feel uncomfortable watching it.  The piece is regarded by many people as the best of the whole bunch. 
