Fault Tolerant and Mobility Aware Routing Protocol for Mobile Wireless Sensor Network Name : Tahani Abid Aladwani ID :

routing protocols for sensor network Application :  health monitoring,  wildlife monitoring,  search and rescue, Type routing protocol:  First : routing protocols designed for sensor network considering static sensor nodes in the network as in LEACH.  Second : routing protocols that consider mobile nodes in the network. exampe : LFCP-MWSN ‪

The basic objectives to developing routing protocol  to use the energy efficiently.  packet loss should be less due to mobility.  high throughput.  achieve fault tolerance.

cluster  Clustering : is process that divides network to sub- structures call clusters.  Each cluster has : - Cluster head. - Member nodes.

WSN with mobile nodes in cluster and fixed Base Station WSN with mobile nodes in cluster Mobile Node changed its position

PROPOSED ALGORITHM  Network Assumptions: 1. All nodes are mobile not static 2. Initially all sensors have same energy example all sensors have 80%. 3. Mobile anchor nodes equipped with GPS is present in each cluster and used only for localization. 4. Node remains in the cluster after elected as a Cluster head for a certain round. 5. Initially Base Station knows the geographical location of the sensor nodes in the network.

proposed approach  the clustering is done at the base station during the first round and it is not done after every round. it's done After n number of rounds.  base station determines cluster head for each cluster, selects node near to center of the cluster as cluster head.  Base Station also determines the primary path and secondary path for the cluster heads to follow to route the data to base station.  After cluster head selection, base station broadcast the information about the selected cluster heads and primary and secondary path.  After this mobile node sends registration message to the cluster head, then cluster head make TDMA schedule for them and broadcast this schedule to mobile nodes in the cluster and also let them data transmission phase starts.  In TDMA schedule there is an update slot at the end for mobile nodes to join the cluster or to send message to Cluster Head to tell about its presence in cluster i.e. IN_CLUSTER message.

Look to Flow Chart of explain how routing is being done In next slide

Setup and Data Transmission Phase clustering is done cluster head selection data transmission phase it is done in rounds and every round have certain number of frames Note: After every round the new cluster head is being selected by the previous cluster head. used for mobility management

Mobility Management during data transfers In next slide

Cluster head distribution in levels

1- compare between the energy consumed using LFCP MWSN & Proposed Scheme  because the nodes take more time to join the new cluster and send join request packets until it is joined in the new cluster.  Also the nodes transfer their data using multi hop level.

2- compare between fault tolerance using LFCP MWSN & Proposed Scheme  fault tolerance has been achieved in the proposed protocol, the packet will be arrived through an alternate route in case a primary route fails.  nodes take more time to join the new cluster in the LFCP-MWSN

CONCLUSION  So in this paper routing protocol that supports routing in the wireless sensor network. the fault tolerance less packet loss achieved while sending data either from cluster members to cluster head or low level cluster head to higher level cluster head.
