Group Three

Goals and Objectives  The goals and objectives will be to provide the non-faculty staff users with access they need in order to successfully use the Schools system for Registration and Leads Capture. The faculty staff users will have the required access to properly administer the mentioned functions.

Goals and Objectives Continued  The Registration System will automate the registration process for students, and eliminate the need for school staff at registration office to work prolonged hours. It will also greatly reduce the amount of printed class schedule booklets required each semester by posting the class schedule online.  Improvements mentioned above will reduce cost of registration and will bring in more prospective students to school.

Goals and Objectives Continued  The Leads Capture feature will bring more students to the school by simplifying the school information availability to prospective students.

Functionality  Prospective students and visitors will have access to the various program information that is available, and information pertaining to the numerous classes that are offered.  Prospective students and visitors will be able to search for program information should they have trouble locating it.  Prospective students and visitors will also be able to request additional information by filling out a form with the requested data.

Functionality Continued  Students will be able to log in and will be redirected to the student menu. They will also be able to logout if they choose through the student menu.  Students will have the ability to see the classes that are currently offered as well as how many students are registered for the class, class size limit, and if there is a waitlist available.  Students will be able to register for classes that aren’t full.  Students may also submit a waitlist request for any class that has a waitlist available.

Functionality Continued  Faculty members will be able to login and will be redirected to the faculty staff menu. They will also be able to logout if they choose through the faculty staff menu.  Faculty members will be able to edit / add/ delete classes.  The waitlists for each class can also be added / deleted, as well as modifying the available waitlist spots.  Faculty members will see all submitted waitlist requests and will be able to approve or

Functionality Continued disapprove the requests automatically or manually.  Faculty members will be able edit the information of the various programs that will be seen by all prospective students, as well as visitors.  Faculty Staff will be able to view all the waitlists for every class, as well as the students who are currently on them. They may automatically delete students should they choose to.

Functionality Continued  The demographic data from students, faculty, and prospective students will be available to the faculty staff and they will be able to automatically collect and save it for later study.  The guest and prospective student additional information requests will be accessible by displaying all of the user submitted information, as well as any comments that where submitted. The faculty member will be able to delete the information request automatically should they choose to.

Challenges Encountered  There where several minor challenges encountered but all of them where resolved. There was however one challenge that could not be resolved.  The ability for a faculty member to automatically send an response to the additional information requests.  Due to limitations on the host server, the functionality for this feature could not be included.  The faculty member will instead see an option to respond, and a under construction message will appear should they try to use the feature.
