Protestantism  The third and newest division of Christianity is Protestantism.  In 1517 Martin Luther posted his 95 Theses or 95 complaints about the Catholic division on the doors of the Wittenburg Castle doors. This started the Reformation, or the movement that started Protestantism.

Martin Luther  Martin Luther said that protestants should worship in churches.

Complaints  Some of his complaints are:  People don’t learn what the Bible says  People should sing in church to learn the Bible  The church had too much money  Services should be simpler; they should be taught in the language of the country (then German) instead of Latin since only the educated spoke and read Latin.

Denominations  Now there are hundreds of denominations of Protestantism. Some of the most popular ones are:  Methodist Church  Episcopalian Church  Presbyterian Church  Baptist Church  Pentecostal Church

Symbols  There are two symbols that represent Christianity. One is the crucifix.

Symbols  The other is the fish which has roots in the Greek language.
