This is John the Baptist

John the Baptist is viewed as a prophet by at least three religions: Christianity, Islam, and Mandaeanism prophetreligions ChristianityIslamMandaeanism

Here are some facts you might want to know Born in the late 1st century (circa 5 B.C.), St. John the Baptist was a Jewish prophet who preached the imminence of God's final judgment. It is believed that he was born somewhere in Judea, located near Jerusalem, Israel, according to the Old Testament. A priest of the order of Abuja, John the Baptist gained recognition as a prophet, had several disciples and baptized a number of people, including Jesus Christ, according to scripture. Christians believe that John the Baptist was the last great prophet before Jesus Christ came to earth. He was reportedly beheaded circa 30 A.D.

Here is some More information John the Baptist is regarded as the precursor of Jesus Christ. A very well-known preacher, he gave sermons about the proximity of God's Final Judgment. He asked people to repent for their sins and baptized those who apologized in self-preparation for the Lord to come. According to the Scriptures, it was John only who recognized Jesus and decreed Him as the Messiah of the people. The four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), the Acts of the Apostles, and the Jewish historian Josephus' Antiquities of the Jews comprise of the only sources of information about the life of John the Baptist.
