3rd Quarter Safety Meeting 2012 DOT Roadside Inspections

OmniSource DOT Inspections OmniSource DOT Inspections  81 DOT inspections in 2 nd quarter, April - June  35 inspections resulted in $13, in overweight fines  6 inspections resulted in out of service violations  24 inspections had violations noted but no citation  16 inspections were no violations discovered

OmniSource Inspections By Root Cause  31% of inspections occurred due to driver preventable reasons  69% due to other reasons

Consequences Of A Failed Inspection  Driver  Lost productivity= lost revenue= lost pay  Monetary fines and/ or suspension  Affects driver CSA scorecard  Company  Raise a red flag for a DOT audit  Out of service fines  Affects carrier CSA scorecard
