1- About HBRC & UTI

Housing & Building National Research Center HBRC Housing & Building National Research Centre– (HBRC) is a national governmental research establishment which was founded in 1954. It is subordinated to the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities. HBRC performs a leading role in enhancing the performance of housing & building sector through scientific research, consultations and training for the purpose of improving the living and environmental conditions of cities in Egypt & Middle East. It has more than 300 Academic staff in different fields related to urban development.

Housing & Building National Research Center HBRC HBRC Mission Statement is to carry out all urban policy studies and researches, conducting applied researches for the construction field and capacity building. Development of Building Codes & Technical Specifications is one of the main responsibilities of HBRC. National Partners At the National level; UTI works in close cooperation with a number of Egyptian partners: Egyptian Green Building Council (EGBC), General organization for Physical Planning (GOPP), Egyptian Environmental Agency Affairs (EEAA), Centre of Environment & Development for the Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE), Social Fund for Development (SFD) and Cairo & Ain Shams Universities.
