Abundant Life In Jesus Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life" "I came that they may have life and have it abundantly"

Jesus is the Door to Abundant Life John 10:7—10 So Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8) All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. 9) I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.'' 10) The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy (destroy =apollymi--to perish, to be lost, ruined, destroyed). I came that they may have (ability to possess) life, (Zoë) and have it abundantly (exceedingly). In Context: Ezekiel 34:2 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy and say to those shepherds, Thus says the Lord GOD, “Woe, shepherds of Israel who have been feeding themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flock?''

Biblical Foundations of Life and Death 1. The devil destroys--Robbery, thievery, and destruction 2. The Father deploys--John 3:16 God Sent…so we will not perish(apollymi) but have indestructible eternal Zoe. John10:28 And I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; (apollymi) and no one will snatch them out of My hand. 3. The Son Restores--1 John 3:8 The one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy (lyō) the works of the devil. (lyō) Means to loosen or untie the deeds of the Accuser. Jesus' Ministry of Restoration

Abundance is About Government of Life (Zoe) Romans 5:17 For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life (Zoe) through the one man Jesus Christ. Context-- Reign in life = triumphing over sin and death and restoration of relationship with God. Gen 3:24 So He drove the man out; and at the east of the Garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword, which turned every direction to guard the way to the tree of life. Gen 3:33 Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever.''

Abundant Life is not About “Stuff” Luke 12:15 And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his Possessions.” Luke12:29—30 And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried. 30) For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31) Instead, seek His kingdom, and these things will be added to you. (You still can have the stuff but it’s not what abundant life is about.) Jesus’s Perspective of Abundance Luke 21:1--4 And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury. 2) And He saw a poor widow putting in two small copper coins. 3) And He said, “Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all of them ; 4) for they all out of their surplus (abundance) put into the offering; but she out of her poverty put in all that she had to live on.”

The Fruit of Abundant Life Romans 14:17—18 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, For he who in this way serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. 1.Righteousness-- restored relationship with the Father. 2. Peace-- freedom from Judgment from (God and man). 3.Joy in Holy Spirit-- Faith in Jesus is fullness of salvation.

Context : Rom 14 (17-18) The Kingdom is Righteousness, Peace and Joy in the Spirit, not eating and drinking. Romans 14:2 Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. (Peace = freedom from Judgment.) Romans 14:5 One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced, in his own mind. (Peace in your personal convictions.) Romans 14:6 The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one, who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God. (Right relationship with God.)

Abundant Life is About Relationship Romans 14:19 So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual up building. (Joy to Holy Spirit.) Romans 14:21 It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble. (Peace within the body of Christ.) Romans 14:22-23 The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who has no reason to pass judgment on himself for what he approves. But, whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin. (Right relationship with God, Peace with each other, and Joy in Holy Spirit, Who only glorifies faith in Jesus.)

Abundant Zoe Life in Jesus 1. Unties you from the deeds of the devil's plans. 2. Frees you from sin and empowers you to govern your life through the abundance of Grace. 3. Is not in the amount your possessions but rather the faith to give them away. 4. Restoration of relationship with the Father. 5. Freedom from religious Judgment. 6. Peace within the body of Believers. 7. Manifested presence of Holy Spirit.
