Key Facts Asia is the biggest of all seven continents. It contains the biggest country in the world - Russia. Mount Everest, in Nepal, is the largest mountain in the world. There are over 40 countries in Asia. The largest island in Asia is Borneo.

Lakes, Rivers and Other Water Sources The longest river in Asia is the Yangtze, which is located in China; it flows for almost 4000 miles. The Caspian Sea, in Russia, is the largest inland body of water in Asia. The largest waterfall in Asia is called Huangguashu.

Bangladesh The Madhabkunda is the largest waterfall in Bangladesh. It is surrounded by many oceans including the Indian Ocean. Although many think it, Bangladesh isn’t a part of India. Once Bangladesh, India and Pakistan were all one country that was called Hindustan. One large area of water in Bangladesh is The Bay of Bengal. Tayef’s family come from Bangladesh!

India The largest dam in India is Sardar Sarovar Dam. India’s largest waterfall is called Dudhsagar. India is surrounded by the Indian Ocean. There are many unusual fish in India some can even walk on land! India was once a continent when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.

Beaches According to Trip advisor ,the best beach in Asia is the White Beach which is located in the Philippines. It has also won the Travellers Choice Award. The sand on the White Beach is so soft and there are spectacular sunsets.

Waterfalls The largest waterfall in Asia - Huangguashu- is also known in Chinese as the Yellow Fruit Tree Waterfall. A waterfall in Asia called the Shifen Waterfall is said to be a small version of Niagara Falls. Shifen Waterfall is located in Taiwan’s New Taipei City.

Sharks The worst shark attack in 1995 was in Hong Kong. The most shark attacks in Asia have been in Iran , India, Hong Kong, Japan, The Philippines and Vietnam. The last death from a shark attack was in the year 2000 in Japan and Thailand.
