Why Do Teens Drop Out?

1.No support or help from family or people at school 2.Peer pressure from friends, family, or gangs 3.Learning disabilities like ADHD or dyslexia 4.Financial problems – This is why Soda dropped out 5.Boredom, dislike school

What Are the Effects of Dropping Out of High School?

Poor Health Teens who drop out of school die an average of nine years earlier than a teenager who graduates from college. You are more likely to have poor health.

Poverty High school dropouts earn $19,000 a year. High school graduates earn $28,000 a year on average. They are also more likely to become unemployed. Only 46% have any kind of job.

Prison If you drop out of high school, your chances of going to jail increase. 63% of males who dropout go to jail. 68 percent of state prison inmates are dropouts. You are more likely to be on death row.

Homeless Teens who dropout of high school are more likely to become homeless sometime in their lives.
