E2SSB 5809 – Unemployed Worker Training – For fiscal year 2010, provides moneys to be expended to serve individuals who are eligible for or have exhausted entitlement to unemployment compensation benefits and are enrolled in a high employer demand program of study or a forest product industry training program. The funds are to be used by the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) to serve eligible individuals; preference is given to individuals enrolled in forest product industry, health care, energy efficiency and aerospace worker training programs.

By December 15, 2010, the WTB, the DCTED, the EDC, the Employment Security Department, and the SBCTC must jointly submit a written progress report to the appropriate legislative committees describing concrete actions taken, individually and collectively, to achieve the act's intent and objectives.
