What caused the air pollution in Hong Kong? The main causes of air polllution are mainly that China is one of the largest growing country in the whole world and China has a large population. The large amount of people making more factories, power stations, eletricity, construction. Does it affect your health? Well of course it does, busy roads gives a major health risk to city residents. Experts have found that these roadside pollution levels are responsible for 90,000 people going to the hospital and 2,800 deaths every year. What did some people do about it? The Action Blue Sky Campaign (a group to clean up the city's air pollution) was officially launched July They plan feature two 30-second public service announcements on television and radio. Are there any diseases that are linked to the air quality? The air pollution can raise the risk of asthma and impair lung functions. It can also raise dizziness, headaches and asthma. The air pollution can also cause cancer.

What happens if this goes on? Can you see the difference?

What can we do to help reduce the air pollution? You can help reduce the air pollution by not smoking, switching off fans, air-conditioners and lights when you don't need them, however choosing items that has been labelled energy efficient labelling scheme.
