Anticipated Value Chapter 9 – Anticipated Value A learning opportunity to develop a greater awareness of the challenges of supporting independent living for persons living in your community. The case study exercise offers the reader time to reflect upon apply and develop their thinking/problem solving skills on pertinent issues relating to informatics and how ICT can impact upon maintaining health and wellbeing.

Assessment Exercises Chapter 9 – Assessment Activities On review of this chapter, list what you think are the key features required to achieve social connectedness. Create a list of what these features are and consider each of the features in order of importance ranking them by number. What if any are the specific feature/s which are closely aligned to nursing informatics? Exercise 1 Review the CASALA website identified in this chapter. What do you perceive the most important features that this initiative is currently developing for health and wellbeing. Summarize your answer in approx. 50 to 100 words Exercise 2 You have been asked to engage with a similar project in your community as the one presented in the CASALA case study. Develop a summary SWOT (Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities and Threats )analysis based on your review of the Great Northern Haven Apartments with a particular patient or relative in mind. List the core design features that you would want to prioritize from the apartments and justify your answer with evidence from the literature. Exercise 3
