1. Work with new employees to ensure that they are all offered insurance benefits and submit all paperwork to the district HR office on time (within 31 days from the date of hire). The schools should contact the district HR (Paula Gray – or ) for help with this process. 2. Submit PCS forms IMMEDIATELY. The PCS forms will notify HR when an employee is hired, terminated, or their position or salary changes. This is used for certification purposes for teachers and insurance purposes for ALL employees. 3. It is the responsibility of the teacher to submit all licensure renewal information or requests for extensions to the district’s HR office. Changes or add-on certification has to go directly to the State Department of Education. 4. Sex Offender Registry checks are to be handled by the school. 5. Notify HR when there is a position available that needs to be posted on CERRA’s online job bank and also when a position is filled so it can be removed from CERRA. 7. Provide information upon request for various reports required throughout the year, such as salary updates, CERRA survey, etc. Charter School Expectations

1. State insurance plans – explanation of benefits; enrollment; transfers; and terminations, including COBRA notifications. 2. The state department of education’s PCS system, which keeps a record of the district’s employees and their experience time. This system ties in with the state’s certification system. 3. Educator license renewals and requests for extensions – all renewals and extensions must be submitted to the district’s HR office. Notices will be sent to the schools in the spring listing those teachers who have expiring licenses. 4. SLED checks for teachers, staff, and volunteers. 5. Teacher loan forgiveness forms must be signed by district HR and not the school. 6. Confirmation of employment forms for PACE and ABCTE teachers must be signed by the district superintendent or HR. 7. CERRA applications will be uploaded and sent upon request for available positions within the schools. Authorizer Expectations
