 Ozone layer:  A part of the atmosphere  It protects the Earth from the UV radiation impact  UV radiation:  Dangerous  It blocks photosynthesis, damages plant and animal tissues, threatens human health

 There is only a little of ozone. To be gathered on the Earth´s surface it would be a layer of 3 mm  The layer is disrupted:  Flying meteorites through the atmosphere  Solar storms  Volcanic eruptions  Testing of nuclear weapons  Freons  Aircraft flying at higher layers

 A hole in the ozone layer :  Depletion of the ozone layer  Especially over the Antarctic and large cities  UV radiation penetrates to a large extent  => Conventions about the protection of the ozone layer as Vienna Agreement

 Previously, the spring and pumped water was better than today  Many springs and underground water supplies are currently polluted

Contamination is caused by :  Human activities above all :  Wastewater  Leaking from soils into groundwater  Accidents with dangerous liquids Contamination of groundwater is a long-term fact

 The continuous inflow of polluted water from rivers  Wastewater in the seas  Radioactive waste  Accidents involving tankers => extensive coastal ecological disasters
