The importance of good housekeeping: Cleaning down work surfaces. Filing disks, manuals and unneeded items of equipment into safe storage. Leaving the work area in a safe and tidy condition.

Cleaning down work surfaces. Remove dirt to reduce bacteria Remove dust to reduce asthma risk Filing disks, manuals and unneeded items of equipment into safe storage. So that they can be found when needed So that they don’t get damaged or lost Reduce risk of injury from falling items Leaving the work area in a safe and tidy condition. So that anyone else working there is safe To demonstrate a professional and efficient attitude Isolate power supplies when not in use to eliminate the risk of electric shock, fire, or equipment malfunction
