PENTATEUCH Always bearing in mind we have to read with New Covenant glasses. Looking back thru the Cross: Deuteronomy 7:7 So I want you to realize that the LORD your God is God. He is the faithful God. He keeps his covenant for all time to come. He keeps it with those who love him and obey his commands. He shows them his love. (vs10) But he will pay back those who hate him. The Law is referred to as inferior 2 Corinthians 3:7 Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was Grace is referred to as superior.

The primary purpose of appreciating these contrasts is to keep us free from religion and joyful in Grace 1 Corinthians 1:1 - 7 For I want you to know, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, 2 and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, 3 and all ate the same spiritual food, 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink.
