GWS Slow Stick - The model we chose as recommended was the gws slow stick

Trainer Flights Parkzone Night Vapor The trainer that we chose was the parkzone night vapor, the regular parkzone vapor was discontinued This was a super light plane and one of the big issues with it was even the smallest gust of wind could put it off its course

Trainer Flight Video Nelson’s Test Flight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-M_EQCuNE1Y&list=UUN1- 3L0sIvaXZR44XLNjL5w&index=3&feature=plpp_video   Linda’s Test Flight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1G8xoNEwtUc&list=UUN1- 3L0sIvaXZR44XLNjL5w&index=2&feature=plpp_video Chinh’s Test Flight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmbZZ0684pU&list=UUN1- 3L0sIvaXZR44XLNjL5w&index=1&feature=plpp_video - Here are some of our group member's trainer flight videos

Parts Purchased 2.4G Fly-Sky 6-Channel Transmitter and Reciever - Since our slow stick plane was a no power system we had to get some parts for the plane incuding a 6 channel Transmitter

Parts Purchased (cont.) 3 pcs 9g servos - We bought a 3 piece 9g servos, but we only used two (one for the rudder, the other for the elevator)

Parts Purchased (cont.) Sky Lipo 11.1 V Battery & Dynam Brushless motor A 11.1 V sky lipo batter (though the battery suggested we purchased was sold out so this one has the same voltage, but different current) This battery weighed more than the battery suggested but it actually was to our advantage when we balanced the center of gravity of the plane

Design Sketches -Here is an outline of the slow stick plane (without the receiver, servos and all the electronics)

Propeller

Motor and Motor Mount

Wing

Camera Mount (group 3 design) -Here is nelson’s camera mount design, unfortunately none of our camera mount designs were properly scaled so they came out too small

Camera Mount Harvey’s camera mount - Unfortunately the camera mounts that we sent into the 3d printer were not to scale, but thanks to Harvey having an extra camera mount we were able to use his. -it fits perfectly right before the servos Harvey’s camera mount

Finished Product (right view) Rudder -Heres our finished product, with the wing taken off and the wires not taped Servos Camera Mount Motor/ Motor Mount

Finished Product (Front View)

Finished Product Battery Placement -This is were we placed our battery in order to achive the center of gravity at the proper location Battery Placement

Finished Product (Center of Gravity) 10 cm The proper location of the center of gravity is ten inches from the front of the wing What we did is we marked that location then held up the plane only touching that point, if the plane remained level then we had achieved the proper center of gravity, when we placed the bigger battery flush against the motor mount we balanced the plane better than when we used the smaller battery.

Weight - Max 450g, 453.1 with battery and everything, pretty close

First Flights (Pros & Cons)

Missalaneous Parts Propeller (3 of them) Servo Screws

Bill of Materials - Fair market value, no shipping and such included
