Full time executive team. Engagement with Government departments & key stakeholders. Heavily involved in the development of Green Deal and ECO. Promote the benefits of insulation. The Opportunity for SWI Around 7m homes with solid walls 45% of heat lost through solid walls 2.3m by 2022 to hit Climate Change Targets Major increase in industry capacity (GD/PAS 2030 accredited!) Key area of focus in the Green Deal and ECO Social housing will play a key role in the early stages but 1 offs will become increasingly important and require a different approach Increasing importance of quality/standards and consumer protection

External Wall Insulation Can be applied to many Non Traditional property types Variety of insulation types available –Mineral wool, EPS, PIR, Cork Wide range of finishes available –Renders, Acrylics, Brick Slips Improves appearance as well as thermal performance DCLG – January 2013 –Clarified that ‘improvement’ via enlargement/extension –Can be carried out on houses under permitted development without planning permission

Internal Wall Insulation SWI often seen as only External. Range of Internal Wall Insulation systems now available for use in Green Deal and ECO. Allows for a like for like replacement internal finish. Often installed on properties you would not want to over- clad –Conservation Areas/Planning Restrictions –Exterior features must be maintained Can be combined with EWI – ‘Hybrid Wall Insulation’.
