What is SAS? Pennsylvania Standards Aligned System Teacher resource to provide schools and districts common instructional framework Identifies six elements of student achievement

Element #1-Clear Standards ①What students should know and be able to accomplish ②Increase in complexity as students progress through grades ③SAS contains Standards, Eligible Content and Assessment Anchors in this section

Element #2- Fair Assessment ①Aligned to Standards ②Used to inform teaching ③Used before, during, and after instruction ④Four types: Summative, formative, benchmark and diagnostic ⑤SAS contains an assessment creator tool
