UPCOMING EVENTS NOVEMBER/DECEMBER Department of Human Resources – Christmas Wish List Program Many children do not get to spend the Holiday’s with their family but instead are placed in foster care during the Holiday’s. We will adopt 2 or 3 children and purchase the gifts they have on their wish list.

DHR Christmas Wish List We will be given a Christmas Wish List for the number of children we choose to adopt. Names will be given but these will not be their true name. DHR will protect their identity because it could be students who sit next to you in class. We will need to come up with a way to raise money to purchase these gifts!

Suggestions? We could just post the items on the list and see if students want to go in together and purchase a gift. We could have a fundraiser to raise the money and have a FBLA shopping trip to Wal Mart after school. WE WILL wrap the presents and label them. DHR will come by the school to pick up the presents.

Competition JSU Technology Fair - March 4 th. This will be during school. Approximate cost is $20 and includes lunch. If you are interested you need to visit the competitive event link at cmsbusiness.wikispaces.com Students are already signing up but signing up does not automatically qualify that you go.

JSU COMPETITION Students can compete in Desktop Publishing, Multi Media publications, Digital Video Production, Web Page creation, Programming and Robotics. Students must create a project and a notebook to go with it. I have the guidelines. Students must have NO discipline referrals and NO grades lower than a D.

JSU CONTINUED Just because students have signed up doesn’t mean they will go? You must prepare and present your project and notebook to me. There can only be 4 group projects and 4 individual projects in each competitive event. These project can be on any subject/topic The BEST WILL GO!

FBLA COMPETITION FBLA has approximately 20 different competitive event categories. The FBLA tells you what your event is about and the topic you must use. You can view all of these events on our cmsbusiness.wikispaces.com website under FBLA. Students are signing up but this does not guarantee they can/will go!

FBLA COMPETITION Students must prepare for the competition and prove they are ready. Students must meet the conduct and grade guidelines already mentioned. If more students than allowed want to compete in a category – students will compete for the spots available.

END OF OUR MEETING PLEASE RAISE YOUR HAND WITH QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS
