Strategic planning of international cooperation  International goals are included in the school’s overall strategy  This will ensure that the international perspective will be taken into account at all stages of strategic planning  This means that people should consider and analyze how internationalization is included in the vet provider's visions for the future or its values  VET providers are competent institutions and they design own action plan for international activities

ECVET – European Credit system for Vocational Education and Training  The European credit system for vocational education and training (ECVET) is based on concepts and processes to establish a common and user friendly language for transparency, transfer and recognition of learning outcomes  ECVET is based on:  Learning outcomes - statements of knowledge, skills and competence that can be achieved in a variety of learning contexts.  Units of learning outcomes that are components of qualifications. Units can be assessed, validated and recognised.  ECVET points, which provide additional information about units and qualifications in a numerical form.  Credit for assessed and documented learning outcomes of a learner. Credit can be transferred to other contexts and accumulated to achieve a qualification.  Mutual trust and partnership among participating organisations are expressed in memorandum of understanding and learning agreements  FINECVET AS A PIONEER From Piloting to Implementation!  Starting Points for Implementing the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training

 AssetEcvet, Developing transfer system in vehicle field:  ECVET for Elderly Care is one of the transnational partnerships called Sector Skills Alliances (SSA) proposed by the Commission of the European Union. EFEC project improves comparability, transparency and mutual recognition of qualifications in the six partner countries (Estonia, Finland, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, United Kingdom) and implements ECVET principles in the elderly care work.  HETA-ECVET project improves the comparability, transparency and recognition of Estonian and Finnish vocational qualifications. 

Networks  HANAKO network Finland-Japan network for vocational education  Window to Russia network  ChiNet ChiNet -educational network between Finland and China. Students and teachers from Omnia technical sectors have participated in exchange periods in China. Omnia has also received teachers from China.  India network The objective is to respond to the competence needs of the labour market, to promote the cooperation between training and the enterprises to increase the visibility of Finnish products and services  Korea TechNet

International Pathways Individual Learning Pathway  Every young person will have their own unique Individual Learning Pathway which will lead to approved qualifications. Their pathway will be tailored to their needs, interests and aspirations  International pathway> language, cultural, social competences, on the job learning abroad
