To whom is P.R.I.M.E.S. offered? Advanced courses are open for enrollment to any student who desires to self-select a more rigorous and challenging curriculum. Schools typically identify potential students who score well on standardized tests Teachers may also recommend students with strong work ethic, self-motivation, and demonstrating high levels of achievement* in previous mathematics classes

College and Career Readiness Standards – Require ALL students to have access to a focused, coherent, and rigorous mathematics education Differences among course paths will vary depending on content standards to be addressed Learning with understanding is still the priority – there will be concepts and processes taught during the PRIMES courses that will not be expected on the end of grade assessment
