INSETT - Basics In Service Teacher Training (INSETT) is not compulsory INSETT concerns: About 9000 teachers, social workers, headmasters,… Preschool education, primary school education, secondary and technical secondary education, special education INSETT responds: to either personal or to local, regional or national needs. INSETT is based on : official guidelines, teaching programs and schedules as well as on innovative pedagogical approaches

INSETT – Quality criteria INSETT has to … focus on the school community and its needs be based on a scientific theoretical framework while clearly aiming at pedagogical practice promote communication between teachers and exchange as well as analysis of teaching practices offer a variety of didactical arrangements and aim at an active and well-considered transposition into teaching practice be based on adult teaching models correspond to gender-mainstreaming principles
