AP STATISTICS “Do Cell Phones Distract Drivers?”

RESULTS OF CELL PHONE STUDY

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBILITIES? Either the cell phones make a difference, and are a real cause for driver distraction OR There is NO difference between cell phones and passengers, and these study results were due to the random assignment of the drivers to the treatment groups.

SIMULATION RESULTS Number of drivers who miss exit in cell phone group in each trial… RECALL – these results assume that the cell phone makes no difference in missing the exit!
