Texting and Driving is the most dangerous thing to be doing, it takes away more then 5 seconds to send a text and in the 5 seconds you could crash and die. Danger:

Fact #1 Five seconds is the average time your eyes are off the road while texting. When traveling at 55mph, that's enough time to cover the length of a football field. Fact #2 A texting driver is 23 times more likely to get into a crash than a non-texting driver.

 About 660,000 drivers use cell phones at any given time during daylight hours in the United States.  Texting while driving makes a driver 23x more likely to crash.  Drivers talking on a cell phone are 4x more likely to have a car accident.
