Problems One of the poorest countries in the world. Only one in two children go to school. One in 15 adults has HIV/AIDS. Food, medicine, and electricity remain in short supply.

Future The future of Burundi seems pretty bad. Less than 50% of children attend school HIV/AIDS is almost out-of-control.

Mancala Step1 Get a mancala game board and 48 stones. Step 2 Sit on one side of the board while your opposing player sits on the other. The six pits nearest you and the cala on the right are yours. The object is to collect as many stones as possible before the other player clears his side of stones. Step3 Play by picking up all the stones from one cup on your side of the board and placing them one by one in the cups to the right. If the last stone is place in your own cala, you get another turn. Step4 Try to place the stones only on your side. If the last stone is placed in an empty pit on your own side, you may take all the stones from the directly opposite opponent's pit. All stones including the capturing stone are placed in your cala. Step5 Stop play when one player has no more stones in his cups. The other player then takes all his stones and places them in his own cala. The player with the most stones in his cala wins.
