OCR Nationals ICT Level 3 Task TWO

1. Keep all versions or drafts of every file you create – and name them accordingly (e.g. logo1, logo2, logo3.) You MUST include them all in your coursework. 2. Naming conventions – watch out that you consistently name files appropriately! 3. Organise your work carefully – make sure you ALWAYS – and I MEAN ALWAYS back up your work to more than just another USB pen. 4. submissions to me at KES or nationals so we both have a copy of everything.

 This one takes research! Use the business section of our library and incorporate AT LEAST two paper resources into your final research.  Actually if you were part of the Induction you’ve already started this so you’re a little ahead of the game…

 Research three types of business communication system:   networks: Internet (including WWW) and intranets  conferencing: video-, tele-, web-, instant messaging.  Research e-Commerce, e-Business and e- Marketing with particular reference to ways in which business communication systems have contributed to their growth.

 Produce a business report for the client based upon your research. This report should include:  a description of the three business communication systems  an explanation of the benefits and drawbacks of these systems giving relevant examples  how communication technology has contributed to the growth of e-Commerce (higher levels only)  how communication technology has contributed to the growth of e-Business and e-Marketing (Distinction level only)  You should make sure you use software features such as tables, bullets, auto-numbering, columns and text boxes as appropriate.

 Using the business letter template you created in Task 1, produce a covering letter that can be sent to the client with the completed report. Address details below: Chris Marsden Managing Director Marsden Enterprises Ltd 21 The Vale Clifden York YO62 5GQ

 Justify the suitability of your report and letter for their purposes (higher levels only)  Thoroughly check your work to eliminate errors and ensure the document is fit for purpose.  And from the Model Assignment again:  The grade you are awarded for Assessment Objective 1 will be largely determined by the quality, level of detail and range of appropriate examples that you include in this report.
