Murter belongs to the group of northern Dalmatian islands lying between the cities of Zadar and Šibenik It is 36 km from Šibenik and 70 km from Zadar and the airport Murter is the largest inhabited island in the Šibenik archipelago UNIT 22 – Introducing a marina and its surroundings

It is easy to get to by car, via the bridge at Tisno, where the island almost touches the mainland. In 1832, a bridge was built at this point, and all four towns on the island can be reached by automobile The town of Murter is situated on the western coast of the island and lies in the calm bay of Hramina. This is also the site of Marina Hramina (43° 49' 37" N, 15° 35' 50" E)

The marina is managed and operated by the staff comprised of experienced nautical veterans, technical, concierge and other personnel, all of them dedicated to providing excellence in customer service in one of Dalmatia's finest marinas.

The Kornati archipelago, a collection of islands owned by the residents of Murter, has been declared a national park due to its indented coastline, its geomorphologic features, and its diverse and rich underwater sea life. This region covers 220 km2 and includes a total of 89 islands and islets, with some 185 km of coastline.

One of the basic characteristics of this region is the exceptional contrast between the sere half- desert land and the biological and geomorphologic wealth beneath the sea's surface Over the past decades the park has become a synonym for an elite nautical destination where boaters can easily find a secure berth as well as enjoy the cosy atmosphere and the home-style cooking in a number of little restaurants.
