A Presentation on Trinidad

The agriculture of Trinidad is mainly cocoa, sugarcane, rice, citrus, coffee, vegetables. Only 15% of the total land can be used for farming.

Trinidad and Tobago comprises 1,980 square miles (5128km 2 ), about one and a half times the size of the state of Rhode Island. The territory enjoys a tropical climate with average maximum temperatures of 32°C, (89°F). There is a dry season from January to May and a wet season from June to December. Annual rainfall is about 200 cm (40 inches) over most of the country. Trinidad and Tobago is just south of the hurricane belt.

People and Culture Trinidad and Tobago is the proverbial melting pot of the Caribbean. In this population of 1.3 million, you’ll find ethnic and cultural roots stretching back to India, Africa, China, Europe and the Middle East. This colourful mix is apparent in the exotic look of our people, the spice of our cuisine, the marriage of melodies in our music, our host of religious holidays, and medley of festivals... the biggest of all being Trinidad Carnival.
