Smog is one of current environmental problems in big cities.

What is smog? Smog is a kind of air pollution. The word " smog " is a mix of smoke and fog. Classic smog is caused by large amount of coal and oil burning

Health effects Smog is especially harmful for senior citizens, children, and people with heart and lung problems such as emphysema, bronchitis, and asthma. It can cause: eye and nose irritation coughing shortness of breath the increasing vulnerability to illnesses

Areas affected Smog can form in almost any climate where industries or cities release large amount of air pollution. It gets worse during periods of warmer, sunnier weather when the upper air is warm enough to inhibit vertical circulation.
