p2 RJM 20/06/06Teaching & Learning Report – June 06 Meeting © Dr Richard Mitchell 2006 Admissions For 2006 entry our admissions were acceptable overall the Uni met its target (including for additionals) some areas overrecruited For 2007 we have a slightly increased target we are revamping the ‘CS IS’ Visit Days we are working on new publicity we have the new Computational Science degree We thus hope to meet the targets set Thanks in advance to all involved in visit days / open days

p4 RJM 20/06/06Teaching & Learning Report – June 06 Meeting © Dr Richard Mitchell 2006 New Developments in T&L We will extend our system for monitoring Part 1 students We are extending the RedGloo system – e-community We are continuing to monitor Blackboard use (a Uni study has just reported) We are continuing to develop ‘kits’ for visit days At the Uni level, a new T & L strategy is under discussion The Blackboard academic suite is being investigated Rebranding will mean new revised web sites (of form)
