2012 CPS Track and Field Pre-season Meeting Presentation Coaching CPS Track and Field (3) Formal Team Status Soph team – An additional 8 students participating in 7 meets, plus participation in the Soph Championships Competition is essential to formal team status. Practice without competition is not recognized, nor will be compensated. Stipend eligibility also depends on the formal team status Numbers on the eligibility sheet do not necessarily reflect a formal team Frosh/Sophs can compete as varsity during the season, but for the Championships, they can only participate in one series. Frosh team – An additional 8 students participating in 7 meets Varsity team – 10 students participating in 7 meets Coaches other than the head coach are considered assistants more than Frosh or Soph Cannot receive 2 stipends (for coaching boys and girls)
