Priority activities achieved ACTIVITYPARTICIPANTSOUTCOMES OPENING ACTION PLAN PRESENTATION General Director Director of Administrative Area Director of Human Resources Area Director of Social Development Area 4/4 members assist to the meeting. 3/4 agreed with the idea to start modifying the approach of the current Policy. WORKSHOP STRATEGIES OF JAPANESE SYSTEM DIRECTORS COORDINATOR OF THE PROYECT STAFF MEMBERS - 30 people assisted to the workshop - Reflection and understanding about the institutional need of change the policy.

ACTIVITYPARTICIPANTSOUTCOMES 2 WORKSHOPS OF PARTICIPATORY LEARNING ACTION DIRECTORS COORDINATOR OF THE CURRENT PROYECT STAFF MEMBERS OF THE CURRENT PROYECT 20 Participants had a practical experience of the importance and value of the community approach. 20 Participants were trained to multiply PLA. 6 participants volunteered to be part of a Development Desing Commitee to change the policy. CREATION OF THE DEVELOPMENT DESING COMMITEE COORDINATOR OF THE CURRENT PROYECT STAFF MEMBERS OF THE CURRENT PROYECT First draft of the changes on the Policy: - Activities (workshops with families and PWID) should be placed in the community FIRST and SECOND STAGE POLICY AMMENDMENT COORDINATOR OF THE CURRENT PROYECT STAFF MEMBERS OF THE CURRENT PROYECT DIRECTOR OF ISO DEPARTMENT - Approval of the first draft: ISO (International Organization for Standarization) department approved it. - Second Draft: Procedure with Family, PWID and PWD

ACTIVITYPARTICIPANTSOUTCOMES EXPECTED THIRD STAGE POLICY AMMENDMENT COORDINATOR OF THE CURRENT PROYECT STAFF MEMBERS OF THE CURRENT PROYECT DIRECTOR OF ISO DEPARTMENT - Approval of the second draft: Procedure for Family, PWID and PWD PLA WORKSHOP WITH FAMILIES INTO THE COMMUNITY STAFF MEMBERS OF THE CURRENT PROYECT FAMILY MEMBERS - Active participation of family members. - Family members taking initiatives - Encourage them to speak out. PLA WORKSHOP WITH PWID INTO THE COMMUNITY STAFF MEMBERS OF THE CURRENT PROYECT PWID - PWD - Active participation of PWID, PWD - PWID, PWD taking initiatives - Encourage PWID, PWD to speak out into their community. NEXT ACTIVITIES

EVALUATION Evaluation surveys made by the participants reported: “ Changing the Policy will help us to improve our services to PWID”. General Director. “ PLA is the most useful tool I’ve learn to develop our objectives” Occupational Therapist “ The strategies learnt made us understand that we need to change even how we talk about PWID” Social Worker The modification of the Policy guarantees that not only the current project but future projects runned by Granahorrar Foundation will include Participatory Approach to encorage PWID, PWD and their families to create action for empowerment.
