Eligibility Based Programs CTE – College & Career Academies: No minimum eligibility requirements for most academies General Ed Students and Students with 504 plans: 1 )Applicants to Jones CTE must have a minimum NWEA MAP percentile of 24 in both reading and math. 2) Students repeating the 8 th grade and students pushed into 8 th grade from 6 th grade due to age requirements ARE NOT ELIGIBLE for the CTE Selective Academies Students with IEPs and Students Receiving Bilingual Ed. Services 1 )Applicants to Jones CTE with IEPs and applicants receiving bilingual education services must have a minimum NWEA MAP percentile that equal at least 48 in both reading and math. 2) Students repeating the 8 th grade and students pushed into 8 th grade from 6 th grade due to age requirements ARE NOT ELIGIBLE for the CTE Selective Academies

Eligibility Based Programs International Baccalaureate (IB): General Ed Students and Students with 504 plans: Students must have minimum percentiles of 24 in both reading and math, minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 Students with IEPs and Students Receiving Bilingual Ed. Services Students must have minimum percentiles that equal at least 48 in both reading and math, minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 Eligible student that are interested in an IB school will need to attend one information session Military Academy: General Ed, Students with a 504 plan, Students with IEPs and Students Receiving Bilingual Ed. Services: Minimum NWEA MAP percentiles the equal at least 48 (e.g., 21 & 27)

Eligibility Based Programs Magnet High Schools: General Ed Students and Students with 504 plans: For most magnet schools and programs, students must have a minimum NWEA MAP percentile of 24 in both reading and math Von Steuben Scholars Program: Minimum percentile of 60 in Math & Reading Students with IEPs and Students Receiving Bilingual Ed. Services For most magnet schools and programs, students must have a minimum NWEA MAP reading and math percentiles that equal at least 48 The Scholars Program at Von Steuben: Minimum percentile of 60 in Math & Reading

Eligibility Based Programs Selective Enrollment High Schools: Students must pre-qualify for the Selective Enrollment High Schools admissions exam, based on their NWEA MAP scores. General Ed Students and Students with 504 plans: Minimum NWEA MAP percentile of 24 in both reading and math Students with IEPs and Students Receiving Bilingual Ed. Online Application Process Online site: apply.cps.edu All eighth grade students receive an Eligibility Letter that contains a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to be used for the online site. If a student is applying to schools with admissions screenings – tests, information sessions, and auditions – they will first Schedule the appointments and then apply. All confirmation pages should be printed and kept in a safe place.

Paper Application Process Obtain paper applications from click ‘Apply’ and ‘Application Materials’), CPS school counselors, or by contacting the Office of Access and Enrollment atwww.cpsoae.org (773) If admissions screenings (tests, information sessions, and audition) are required for the schools to which the student will apply, OAE will schedule the appointments and notify the parent by mail of the dates, times, and locations.
