What is an adverb? Adverbs modify three things: Verbs Adjectives Other Adverbs An adverb tells you many things: How? When? Where? Why? How Much (to what extent)?

Adverbs modify verbs Where? The soldiers marched forward When? Adverbs modify verbs, answering the questions How? Worked quietly Where? The soldiers marched forward When? She visits often
