Our trip to Sweden 31st October – 9th November 2012
Day I 31. October In the morning we arrived at the airport. Then we got to know that our tickets were wrong. We had a lot of problems. However, in the end the captain of the plane helped us. It was my first time I had been on a plane. I really liked it. Ania N. class III
31. October I was a witness of a miracle today. Without God we wouldn’t be in Sweden now! He made it possible for us to come here to Uppsala. Jurek W. Class II
Day II 1. November From the school building to the church we have about 100 steps! Estera K. Class II
1. Nowember Our walk in Uppsala was very long and we were really tired. When we came to our room firstly we had to lie down on beds. We were at IKEA and ate there very tasty food. Marta A. Class III
Day III 2. November After the morning meeting I went again to IKEA, but this time 20 meatballs weren’t enough! I also bought a big cookie and ate all this! Michał M. Class III In the evening we went sightseeing to the centre of Uppsala. Michał J. Class II
2. November Today I wasn’t sleepy even though I didn’t sleep much last night. I ate olives for breakfast. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to get ready, so I was ending my breakfast (cornflakes) at the lecture. Then our group had a meeting where I got 70 kr for dinner. In the afternoon my friends and I went to a second-hand shop. Ola K. Class III
Day IV 3. November Saturday was one of the most amazing and interesting days. It’s because of the fascinating preaching that a basketball player for Nigeria gave us. After the preaching he prayed with his friends and it was magnificent! Ania N. Class III
3. November Today the lecturer was Joakim Lundqvist. I love his lectures because he’s the greatest preacher I’ve ever heard. Agata K. Class II We noticed that in Sweden things in shops are more expensive than in Poland. For example, chewing gum costs 20 kr! Estera K. Class II
Day V 4. November The preaching was very interesting. We saw some movies and the preacher told us lots of jokes. I listened to an English translator and learned a lot of words. Than we traveled to Stockholm Marta A. Class III
4. November Freda and I will live at Barbara’s house together. We’re very thankful that we can sleep at her house. Kamila W. Class II
Day VI 5. November After the lessons we went to a floorball tournament and my team lost the finals. Olek P. Class II
5. November Today I visited a christian school in Stockholm. I learnt a lot of words in Swedish and I saw what lessons in a school in Sweden are like. After lunch our penfriends and we had a floorball tournament. When I returned home I spent some time talking to my host family. It was a very nice day. Kuba B. Class III
Day VII 6. November We went to Nobel Museum where we found some information about Polish Nobel Prize winners. Olek P. Class II
6. November Hey! What’s up? I’ve started to think in English and I’m a bit scared about it. Michał M. Class III Today we did some sightseeing in Stockholm. First, we went to Vasa Museum. Later we went to the City Hall of Stockholm. It’s a beautiful building. At the end of our walk in the city we went to the Nobel Museum. Kamila M. Class III
Day VIII 7. November Huhuhu…. I’ve been to two countries today: Sweden and Finland! I was on a cruise with my Swedish and Polish friends and it was amazing! I was full of food. You could take whatever you wanted to eat you didn’t pay for it! Welcome to heaven! On the ferry we had also a series of a great entrepreneurship lectures. Michał M. Class III
7. November The ferry was nice and exclusive. In the meantime we had a coaching session on entrepreneurship. I took a lot of photos of Swedish islands. One day I want to have this trip again. Kuba B. Class III
Day IX 8. November Next day we went to see Stokholm view from the Globe – the largest hemispherical building! Dawid S. Class I
8. November They took us to the shopping centre and we could do some shopping. We were so excited but all the prices were really high for us. However, some of us managed to buy smth. Ola J. Class III
Day X 9. November Before our departure we said goodbye to our Swedish friends. I miss them already. They’re very friendly and hospitable. But I miss my Polish friends, too. I can’t wait to go to Sweden next year. Kamila W. Class II We went to the airport and flew to Modlin. I slept on the plane. Adam Ś. Class II
