4 In April 2013 a new Federal Law “On the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation” was introduced. It establishes: Goal of the Accounts Chamber: selection and assessment of key national indicators of socio-economic development of the Russian Federation Function of the Accounts Chamber: advice on development of systems of key national indicators, that describe level and quality of socio-economic development as well as selection of criteria and methods for their assessment Mandate to conduct analysis and to develop proposals on the list of macroeconomic and other key indicators of Russian Federation socio- economic development as well as criteria and methods for their assessment Federal Law “On the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation”
