Gifted and Talented Record Transfer The following steps are for the person in charge of enrollment:  Click on “KY State Importing Wizard” in order to import GT Records when they are enrolling a new student  After clicking on the “Wizard”, the GT record page will be imported  Scroll down several pages to view the GT Data Entry page  Notify GT Coordinator/GT Teacher there is a new GT student in the district 29

ASSESSMENT FAQS REGULATIONS ON ASSESSMENT EXAMPLES Identification 42

General Intellectual Abilities (GI) Districts should use a norm-referenced full scale (verbal and non-verbal) test of intellectual ability Students must score at the 9 th stanine or above, unless special considerations are being utilized A few district examples are:  Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT)  Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT)  TerraNova Inview NOTE: Assessments should be normed every 8-10 years to keep up with current student population scores. 43

Specific Academic Aptitude (SAA) Districts should give a norm-referenced achievement test which gives a composite score Student should score at the 9 th stanine, unless a district is using special considerations A few examples:  Iowa Test of Basic Skills  Measures of Academic Progress  California Achievement Test NOTE: The NRT section (A) of the KPREP for Social Studies and Science may be used. 44
