Top Ten worst Disasters

Big Burn On August 1910 in Idaho and Montana 3 million acres of land was burnt and it was recorded that it was 150 feet above ground level. The fire took 87 lives.

9- Great Ice Storm ‘98 IN 1998 a cyclonic system ice storm hit Canada and lasted for 6 days, and caused 5-7 billion dollars. It also took 35 lives and injured 945 people. 120mm of freezing rain fell

8- Dust bowl ON April weather for Oklahoma was in its early 30’s but later that night the tempreture dropped by 10 degrees and it caused the great sandstorm. Dust was picked up at 70 kilometres an hour and dumped in Oklahoma

7- Bayburt Uzengili Avalanche On the 18 of January 1993 the Bayburt province had an avalanche that flowed for 4,150 metres at 17 degrees, 59 people died 21 injured and 650 livestock was lost

European heat wave In 2003 a heat wave hit Europe killing 70,000 people. In the day the temperatures would reach up to 48 degrees and at night the low 30s. These temperatures caused major bushfires.
